In spring 2014, I was an intern for The World, an international news radio show broadcast from WGBH in Boston in partnership with Public Radio International and BBC. It was my job to seek out interesting people around the world to have conversations on the air about their experiences. I had the chance to speak with people from Florence to Caracas to Beijing. Read my archived posts for the show or listen to the stories below.

I was a staff writer and photographer for The Suffolk Journal, Suffolk University’s award-winning official student newspaper, from 2011 to 2014. Over the years, I served as assistant arts editor, assistant managing editor, and managing editor.  I covered stories that impacted the university and the city while I helped edit and produce the final print and web editions of the paper. Click here to read an archive of my articles or look below to see how some of my stories and photos looked in print.

As an undergraduate student at Suffolk University, I did some volunteer photography work for the school’s Office of Marketing and Communications. These opportunities gave me experience shooting at live events and learning how photos are edited and published in real time. See examples of my work during Suffolk’s 2012 graduation ceremonies.

I shot a few assignments as a freelance photographer for Party Earth Boston. Party Earth is a nightlife and entertainment guide that highlights popular venues and neighborhoods in certain cities. I documented the Beacon Hill (slides 1 to 19) and South End (slides 1 to 17) neighborhoods of Boston for the site.
